8 fairly heavy suitcases. 6 carry on luggage. I Kasper inside a kennel. 14 o'clock drop off at Norfolk Airport, 21 o'clock departure for Rota, Spain. 8 hour flight, 2 hour refuel and a chance to walk the dog. 2,5 hour flight to Sicily, 2 hr refuel break.
BBB and BB browsing the duty free shops in Italy. We bought Cannoli and Mozzarella di Bufala to snack on between flights.
We arrived in Manama after midnight. It was dark and HOT. We had to go through immigration and customs. Kasper was happy to see us :D We were dropped off at our temporary apartment and had a really hard time falling asleep as we had "slept" through most of the plane rides. The next morning we pulled the curtains and
-Voila!!!!
We met our sponsor for breakfast on base and he showed us the basics. We bought some food and rented a car. Drove around all of Manama and looked at the different areas to live. Stopped by the sponsor again for dinner, and a dip in his roof top pool.
Day #1 is DONE!!!
