Enclosed are a few recent pics... have been getting little sleep and these photos are over the last few days. Fish were fresh from nets cast from a bridge over the euphrates. I don't know what kind they are, although I have eaten them on occasion at a Sheikh's house. The dog is a stray that sleeps 23 hours a day but always goes out with the men on patrol through the city. Dogs are not well respected here, especially as pets... and they frequently roam wild in packs. But this dog patrols under the tacit protection of the Marines. It is pretty funny, really. It is like she thinks she is a Marine. When not on patrol, she doesn't move. Last photo is a sleak air stream trailer that I saw at an abandoned position 30 or so kilometers out of town. I pulled over and checked it out. This is a bit longer than I am looking for, but I thought it was perfect! Exactly the kind of family renovation project for when I get back home!
