Means maternity leave in Swedish. However, the exact translation (as exact as anything can be): time off work, free time, leisure.
Nothing around here comes close to feeling like I'm on vacation!!!

BBB has got a cold and there is more slimy mucus expressed from his nose than imaginable. Of course he doens't care for tissues, so the sleeve of his shirt or our furniture gets a good solid wipe every 30 seconds.
I am helpless.
It's clear, which means there is no infection yet. (I also hope it dries clear...) And with medication he sleeps alright.
This morning he woke me up and said that he was coughing a lot. I told him he needed to take his medication to stop the cough. He said it was disgusting, but he mixed it himself into the apple sauce, and poured 3 table spoons of cinnamon sugar on top to hide the flavor. He stirred very carefully, ate the whole thing, and not two seconds after his last bite he coughed and complained to me because I had said his cough would go away. His eye brows tightened and he told me he probably needed more medicine.

PB went on a business trip today. He called tonight when he got there. He was going out for a run and then straight to bed.
He said he looked fly in his new black pants from Metzingen.

BB has been good as usual today. She is a sweet little baby. She sleeps from 8 PM to about 6 AM and then eats and goes back to sleep until 8 or 9 AM. During the day she is awake quite a bit and likes to watch her mobiles and hang out with MB and BBB as we go about our daily business.
BBB has been very helpful lately. (Good for bonding I hope!) He helps to change the diapers, and to wipe her clean etc. She is quite big and sturdy now and can take his rough pampering style. She lights up when she hears his voice, and seems to like to be rough housed. Who would have known...
Anyway. I hope to invoke some kind of friendship with him feeling responsible and helpful. Like a good big brother.
But he told me today he had no interest in tasting her poopy diapers.
I think we can accomodate.

I had planned to take a foot bath, and really tend to my neglected feet. (There is not much you can do when you can't even reach them!!!) Now I can, and every day for the past 3 week I have made plans to get it done. But I am so tired at night I almost fall asleep scratching BBB's back. Yeah, we don't read at the moment. BBB is really into getting his back scratched.
