In line with my last post, I popped out of the Metro into Piazza del Popolo. I walked down via del Corso all the way to the monument to Vittoriano, the father of the united Italy. This statue is HUGE, his moustache is 6feet wide. There was an eternal flame guarded by the Italian Navy, and this monument commands a wonderful view of a good portion of the city. BBB and I had climbed these step together in June.
