I am making the rounds to day good bye to some of the people I have made friends with while here. This was from 01Oct, which is the first celebration day of "Eid"... which is basically like Thanksgiving ahd Christmas combined. Everyone visits everyone over 4 days and gives gifts. You can see everyone is dressed up. When someone walks in the room, you raise you right hand and say "alabu herr" which I have become quite proficient with... you see I am a bit faster than the Sheikh. This sheikh was flown to meet President Bush last month... so I am a bit out of my league with him but I am faster on the draw with my AlabuHerr.
